Louisville City Council Meeting <br />February 6, 2001 <br />Page 18. <br /> <br />Davidson suggested having a final meeting on the Public Service application. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Administrator Bill Simmons reported that the Humane Society Agreement has been <br />signed. He also reminded Council of the Tuesday, February 13th work session with the <br />Local Licensing Authority and the Colorado Municipal League. Items for the March 13th <br />work session will be the waste disposal information from the Recycling Authority. <br /> <br />Mayer suggested inviting Chuck Callahan to respond to questions about the transition <br />through the IGA process. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Davidson reported that Dianne Shank has resigned from the Louisville Housing <br />Authority to accept a position with the Boulder Housing Authority. <br /> <br />Davidson reported that Mayors' Along the Turnpike will meet with Governor Owen on <br />Friday to discuss the transportation plan for the Turnpike, rapid transit and light rail. He <br />noted that the Governor has requested that only one Staff person attend and that Heather <br />Balser has been asked to attend. <br /> <br />Sisk reported that he represented Council at the Monarch School meeting earlier this <br />evening. He stated that there were a great number of people in attendance, students, <br />parents, counselors and staff members. He reported that the comments offered in <br />Brittany Chambers death ranged from grief and blame, to prevention. He stated the <br />consensus of those in attendance was that the community needs to come together. <br />He suggested that, at a future work session, Council meet with members of the police <br />department and initiate an activity to hold forums for parents and their children and <br />perhaps develop an outreach program for the community. <br /> <br />Brown concurred with the Councilman Sisk's comments and suggested that someone <br />from the Scho61 District could also be attendance at such meetings. He asked that the <br />discussion of the Community Park be added to the work session agenda and a potential <br />proposal for amenities/authorities/enhancements ordinance or measure for discussion <br />before the November election. He stated that he spoke with a representative from a <br />neighboring city, with regard to the Arts Alive Facility proposal and noted that there is <br />interest, which may lead to a Intergovernmental Agreement.
