Award Bid - Dillon Road Water Line Materials <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Doug Grinbergs, 530 W. Sycamore Circle, Louisville, CO, stated that he spoke at the last <br />Council meeting about the Louisville Fishing Pond 'and asked the City to stop the <br />construction until public meetings could be held. He stated that he had attended the <br />Louisville Open Space Advisory Board Meeting and the Fishing Pond issue was <br />discussed for two hours. He asked that the project be stopped until the Open Space <br />Advisory Board can forward a recommendation to Council. <br /> <br />Grinbergs stated that the City should initiate other ways to communicate with the public. <br />He suggested that City Boards and Commission, such as the Open Space Advisory Board <br />should have their own email addresses. He also noted that he, like his neighbor does not <br />receive public notice through the water utility billing because of auto debit payment, <br />therefore, he does not open his bills. He also stated that he does not have cable television <br />and cannot receive notices posted on the government channel or watch Council meetings. <br />He stated that he accesses information over the web. Grinbergs also voiced concern over <br />the aviation noise issue and asked that the City be more pro-active. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayer commented that Mr. Grinberg's group email suggestion was good and would be <br />useful to the citizens. He stated that the issue of aviation noise was discussed at the Ward <br />meeting and several suggestions were forwarded to Staff. He felt that it would be useful <br />to ascertain what progress has been made on the issue. <br /> <br />Brown stated that he attended the Valentine's Day Senior's heating bill fundraiser. He <br />commended Joan Riggins, the Blue Parrot and the Senior Board for the their dedication. <br />He stated that the event was well attended and the proceeds were donated for a worthy <br />cause. <br /> <br />Sisk reminded the Mayor, Council and those in attendance that there will be a prevention <br />presentation on substance at Monarch High School on Wednesday, February 21, 2001, at <br />7:00 p.m. The Council, Louisville Police Department and the Boulder Valley School <br />District will sponsor the seminar. <br /> <br />Sisk reported that he attended the Senior Board meeting and they have stated they wish to <br />continue to be involved in the planning process for the senior center expansion. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
