<br /> <br />City of Louisville <br /> <br />Revitialization Commission <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />May 19, 2005 <br />City Hall, Council Chambers <br />749 Main Street <br />7:30 AM <br /> <br />Call to Order Chairperson Sisk called the meeting to order at 7:30 AM <br /> <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Michael Reis, Bob Tofte, Clair Beckmann, Rob <br />Lathrop <br /> <br />Board Members Absent: <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: William Simmons, Heather Balser, Paul Wood, <br />Kenneth Johnstone, Kathleen Harrington (Counsel) <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved by all members. <br /> <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes The minutes from the April 14, 2005 meeting <br />were approved as written. <br /> <br />Public Comments Several residents and property owners were present at the <br />meeting including Michael Deborski, Randy Caranci, and Jean Morgan. <br /> <br />Business Matters of Commission <br />1. Urban Renewal Plan & Fiscal Analysis Requests for Consulting <br />Services, Discussion/Direction - After meeting with Paul Benedetti, <br />special counsel to the LRC, staff recommended initiating production of <br />the Urban Renewal Plan. Once the Urban Renewal Plan is complete, <br />the LRC would then present the findings of both the Conditions Survey <br />and the proposed Urban Renewal Plan to City Council. A motion was <br />offered by Commissioner Beckmann and seconded by Bob Tofte to <br />proceed with the Urban Renewal Plan. All Commissioners voted in favor <br />of the motion. The L.RC directed staff to proceed with a scope of work, <br />timeline and budget for the Urban Renewal Plan. Additionally, the LRC <br />directed staff to negotiate a professional services contract with Leland <br />Consulting, who conducted the Conditions Survey, to produce such an <br />Urban Renewal Plan.
