City of Louisville Revitialization Commission Meeting Minutes May 19, 2005 City Hall, Council Chambers 749 Main Street 7:30 AM Call to Order Chairperson Sisk called the meeting to order at 7:30 AM Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: Board Members Present: Michael Reis, Bob Tofte, Clair Beckmann, Rob Lathrop Board Members Absent: Staff Members Present: William Simmons, Heather Balser, Paul Wood, Kenneth Johnstone, Kathleen Harrington (Counsel) Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved by all members. Approval of Meeting Minutes The minutes from the April 14, 2005 meeting were approved as written. Public Comments Several residents and property owners were present at the meeting including Michael Deborski, Randy Caranci, and Jean Morgan. Business Matters of Commission 1. Urban Renewal Plan & Fiscal Analysis Requests for Consulting Services, Discussion/Direction - After meeting with Paul Benedetti, special counsel to the LRC, staff recommended initiating production of the Urban Renewal Plan. Once the Urban Renewal Plan is complete, the LRC would then present the findings of both the Conditions Survey and the proposed Urban Renewal Plan to City Council. A motion was offered by Commissioner Beckmann and seconded by Bob Tofte to proceed with the Urban Renewal Plan. All Commissioners voted in favor of the motion. The L.RC directed staff to proceed with a scope of work, timeline and budget for the Urban Renewal Plan. Additionally, the LRC directed staff to negotiate a professional services contract with Leland Consulting, who conducted the Conditions Survey, to produce such an Urban Renewal Plan.
