Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes:Wednesday, July18, 2012 <br />City Hall,749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />I.Call to Order:The meeting was called to order by Chair,Mary Ann Heaneyat 6:35pm. The <br />meeting minutes were taken by Andy Johnson. <br />II.Roll Call:Members present(in bold):Cullen Choi,Mary Ann Heaney,Andy Johnson,Mark <br />Persichetti, Ted Sontrop; Staff Liaison Dave Szabados; City Council Liaison Emily Jasiack; <br />Planning Department Staff Gavin McMillan;guest Tracy Scholl, Louisville resident. <br />III.Approval of Current-Meeting’s Agenda:The agenda was approved as-is. <br />IV.Approval of April Meeting Minutes:The minutes from the June 20, 2012meeting were <br />approved as written. <br />V.Public Commentson Items Not on the Agenda:Guest Tracy Scholl introduced herself and <br />requested being able to participate in the meeting’s discussions. All agreed. <br />VI.Discussion of Comprehensive Plan discussion topic: Energy Section (to be added to list of <br />sections within the Comprehensive Plan):The topic of Energy was identified as being missing from <br />the current discussion about the Comp Plan’s revision. After some discussion, the grouplisted on the <br />dry erase board five topics that could be separated out within the heading of Energy: Built <br />Environment, Utilities, Transportation, and Renewable Energy. All of these topics need to relate back <br />to community goals for the City of Louisville.These goals were listed under the heading “Why.” It <br />was suggested that a Climate Action Plan be added to this section of the Comp Plan. Below is the <br />break down of the discussion. <br />BUILT ENVIRONMENT <br />Above code energy standard for building energy efficiency. <br />Above code green building standards. <br />Education for building professionals and building/home owners on above code <br />standards. <br />Energy data collection for new or major remodeled buildings (example of Energy Star <br />standards being used by San Francisco). <br />High performance standards for all municipal buildings (IgCC, IECC, LEED, etc.) <br />UTILITIES <br />Determine the City’s energy profile. <br />Consumption. <br />Generation. <br />Transmission. <br />Infrastructure. <br />City of Louisville <br />Public Works Department 749 Main Street <br />Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4608 (phone) 303.335.4550 (fax) www.louisvilleco.gov <br />
