Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />August 27, 2012 <br />Page 4of6 <br />Mr. Walsh thanked the Authority for their consideration of the application. <br />Wilson closed the public hearing. <br />Rommelfanger moved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find <br />the applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood <br />desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements <br />of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have been met and, <br />based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve issuance of a <br />Hotel and Restaurant liquor license for Bittersweet Cafe and Confections LLC <br />d/b/a Bittersweet Cafe and Confections. Carlson seconded. All in favor. New <br />license approved. <br />C. Special Events Permit Application — Master Links, Inc. — <br />Steinbaugh Pavilion "Oktoberfest" — September 14 and 15 <br />Chairperson Wilson noted this was not a public hearing, but appreciated the <br />applicants appearing to discuss the event. <br />Tom Smathers, one of the event coordinators, explained he was involved in the <br />Oktoberfest event last year and felt it had been a good event and fun way to <br />introduce people to Louisville. He reported they had been in touch with police <br />officers to determine what could be done better with regards to security and <br />would be implementing those ideas. <br />Kevin Eaton, president of Master Links, explained they are a non-profit <br />committed to raising funds to distribute to other non -profits. They have done <br />fundraisers for Children's Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Skeeter <br />Beaters. <br />Wilson moved the Authority grant the Special Events Permit for Master Links. <br />Lipton seconded. All in favor. <br />D. Transfer Application — La Revolucion LLC d/b/a La Revolucion — <br />Tavern Liquor License Transfer — 701 Main Street <br />Chairperson Wilson introduced the agenda item and asked the applicant why <br />it was taking so long to gather the needed paperwork. Rick Betance, <br />applicant, replied two of the persons he needed paperwork from had <br />been out of town and made it difficult to gather information. The lease had <br />been written with the wrong entity name and he was trying to get that solved. <br />Attorney Culley was asked for specifics concerning what paperwork was <br />needed. She confirmed the lease needed to be in the same name as the <br />application, a copy of the promissory note and the dollar amounts noted on <br />the individual history record for the purchase need to add up and be correct <br />
