About The Louisville Revitalization Commission <br />The Revitalization Commission is responsible for conducting urba <br />activities throughout the City. Under state law, the Revitalizat <br />charged with assisting the city in eliminating and preventing sl <br />areas through urban renewal. <br /> <br />Urban Renewal Documents and Information (History) <br />A Conditions Survey and Urban Renewal Plan were adopted by the City Council <br />at their December 5, 2006 meeting. In addition, the Revitalization Commission <br />has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the City Council outlining each entity's <br />role and authority and has entered into an intergovernmental agreement with <br />Boulder County. <br /> <br />In addition in 2008 the City had a Market, Feasibility, and Financing Study <br />completed for the area. <br /> <br />There are three critical components of urban renewal: <br />Initially, the City Council must make a determination that the p <br /> <br />project area is blighted; <br />An urban renewal plan must be prepared and approved; and <br /> <br />Financing options for the proposed projects need to be carefully evaluated <br /> <br />within the context of the proposed area's revenue projections. <br /> <br /> <br />The Louisville Revitalization Commission is largely in response Highway <br />42 Revitalization Project that anticipates potential financing options for proposed <br />public improvements within the project area, specifically Tax In <br />Financing. <br /> <br />Board Information <br />The board consists of seven members appointed by the Mayor and Cncil. <br />Six are members of the public and one is a member of the City Co Meetings <br />are held at 7:30 AM the second Monday of each month.
