• <br />• <br />• <br />Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting <br />7:00 p.m. <br />Monday November 15, 2004 <br />Louisville Recreation Center, Senior Citizen Lounge <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br />Attendance: Bob Muckle, Patrick Hornbostel, Mike Gheleta, Gary Mansdorfer, Heidi <br />Ochis, and Cary Tengler. <br />Also in attendance: Jeff Moline, City of Louisville Staff <br />Bob Muckle called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />October 18, 2004 minutes passed with changes. <br />Motions Passed <br />1. Pat Hornbostel moved to pass October minutes with changes. Heidi Ochis seconded. <br />Motion passed. 6 -0. <br />Public comment on items not on agenda <br />Updates from the Board <br />Updates from Staff <br />Jeff Moline gave an update on the following City projects: <br />1. Weed control work on various properties has been completed successfully. Specific <br />problems addressed were: <br />- CTC and Aquarius — knapweed and moth mullein; <br />- Callahan — thistle and bindweed; <br />- Dillon & 88th — knapweed: <br />- Retention pond at Cherry & 104th — knapweed, Canada thistle, musk thistle, Dalmatian <br />toadflax <br />- Daughenbaugh — musk thistle. <br />Pat Hornbostel asked about weed control methods vis a vis the Open Space Ordinance <br />which calls for minimal use of herbicides. Mr. Moline described the backpack and truck - <br />based spraying methods and the chemicials used (Tordon and 24D), and noted that the <br />City was doing a good job of integrated weed control, utilizing a combination of pulling, <br />moving and chemical controls. <br />None. <br />None. <br />
