•
Louisville Open Space Citizens Advisory Board Meeting
7:00 p.m.
Monday, November 13, 2000
Louisville Recreation Center
700 W Via Appia
Louisville, CO 80027
7:00 Meeting
Attendance: Matt Jones, Pat Hornbostel, Heidi Ochis, Bob Muckle, Susan Remington
Also in attendance: Steve Baysinger, Brad Chromowski, and Dave Sexton, City Staff; Caryl Shields and
Bev Baker, Louisville and Colorado Native Plant Society members.
Minutes
Matt Jones called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.. He said the Board meetings will now keep public
comment to 3 minutes per person.
Matt Jones then called for any corrections to the October 9th minutes.
Corrections to the minutes were noted.
Corrected copies of the minutes can be viewed at the Louisville library.
Matt Jones moved to adopt the minutes as amended. All in favor.
Matters From Board
Steve Baysinger gave an account of the City Council meeting concerning the prairie dogs. He was not
able to get lease information on the County owned lands. He also requested putting off the discussion of
prairie dogs until later.
Bob Muckle reported that the presentation on Wed. night by Rick Knight was very informative. He had
good data on how trail use impacts wildlife. The next Leaf speaker will be Dec. 12 by Steve Jones on
winter ecology.
Matt Jones asked if the County had a list of "burn management" properties and wondered if the Board
could obtain the list if it exists.
Matt Jones also asked if a resource person, as per Cindy Owlsy's suggestions, might be hired by the City.
Steve Baysinger replied that the time to hire a resource person would be after the inventory was complete.
Matt Jones asked who would put the Master Plan together after the inventory was complete. He
commented that it will be a big job to pull all the pieces together.
Steve Baysinger said the City would hire a consultant and contract the work out.
Matt Jones suggested an agenda item for next month: other inventory items that need to be addressed,
action items and prioritize tasks. •
Public Comment
