No conclusion.
Potential dates for the event are May 5th or May 19th. Peggy will check the City of
Louisville event schedule to see if there are any conflicts with either date.
Dave Sexton reported, that Kathleen Alexander from the Boulder Forestry Department
has talked to Carrabbas Restaurant regarding possible sponsorship of a "run" to be
conducted as part of the Earth /Arbor Day event. The
committee will consist of Dave Sexton, Kyle Calahan, Dave Clabots and possibly
Nanette Edwards. (If Nanette declines, Susan Spaulding will serve on the
subcommittee.) Subcommittee will schedule their next meeting.
Kyle reported that with 400 runners, the race would break even. Professional race
organizers could be utilized to take care of the race. Dave suggested that a "fun run"
may encourage kids and families to participate.
Peggy will keep a master list of organizations who will participate. In addition to past
participants, the following were suggested: Master Gardeners, master composters,
chain saw sculptor, noxious weed info, tree historian, and native plant society.
