Building Code Board of Appeals <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 20, 2012 <br />City Hall, Spruce Room <br />749 Main Street <br />6:30 <br />PM <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> –Chairperson Peter Geise called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM. <br />ROLL CALL <br /> was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Peter Geise, Chairman <br />Matthew Berry <br />David Rounds <br />Gary Mancuso <br />Robert Van Pelt <br />Staff Members Present: Troy Russ, Director Planning & Building Safety <br /> Monica Garland, Permit Technician <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Robert Van Pelt moved and David Rounds seconded the motion to approve the <br />agenda. Motion passed by all members present. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Peter Geise moved and Robert Van Pelt seconded the motion to approve the July <br />19, 2012 minutes. Motion passed by all members present. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Director Russ updated the board on Mike Jones, Chief Building Official, being placed <br />on paid administrative leave. The City of Louisville respects the privacy of its <br />employees and any ongoing personnel matters will be kept confidential. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Director Russ gave a presentation regarding the latest update of the Comprehensive <br />Plan (Plan). The current Plan is acting more like a zoning document, when it should <br />really be acting as a guideline or compass for the direction of land development.
