Building Code Board of Appeals <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 20, 2012 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />South Subdivision. Two apartments for the Steel Ranch South Subdivision are close <br />to being released for issuance. <br />OTHER PROJECTS OF INTEREST <br />The latest submittal for the former Safeway site includes 111 residential units and <br />30,000 SF of commercial space which includes Alfalfas. This project is scheduled for <br />a hearing before the Planning Commission on October 25, 2012 and is currently <br />being reviewed with the Business Assistance Program (BAP). Pearl Izumi is closer <br />to submitting their plans with a scaled back building from what they had initially <br />purposed. The Conoco Phillips project is currently on hold due to the separation of <br />the companies and the twelve month process which the companies have to go <br />through with the IRS to show they are indeed separated. Phillips 66 is still interested <br />in the land. <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />None heard. <br />BOARD COMMENTS <br />Gary Mancuso inquired about the status of the Mobile Home Ordinance. Staff <br />reported the ordinance has been put on hold till next year. By then, the City Attorney <br />will have completed his research and review of the ordinance and the Board will then <br />have a chance to look at it. <br />NEXT MEETING <br />The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 15, 2012. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br /> 2013 Building Code Board of Appeals meeting schedule; the Board agreed a <br />meeting every other month next year will continue to work for them. <br /> The Planning Division will also provide discussion two chapters from the <br />Comprehensive Plan which will most effect the Board. <br />ADJOURN <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />
