Therefore, Boulder is asking cities to create <br />theirown off-leash areas. <br /> The Board would like to consider this issue, but it was recognized <br />that there needs to be a substantial amount of background work <br />done before anything can be decided. <br /> Joe also mentioned that it will be a couple of years before the <br />Board could substantively address this issue. <br />VII. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br /> Caryn Greef, 161 Raintree Ln.: If Boulder is asking Louisville to consider <br />solutions for off leash area, she would like to see the issue as an agenda item <br />within the next three months. <br />VIII. Discussion Item: Geocache Award <br /> The program received a positive reception. The geocache attracted new people <br />to Davidson Mesa. <br /> The geocache was mostly used by the technical crowd. <br /> The plan is to promote the program again in the spring. <br />IX. Discussion Item: 2012 Comprehensive Plan Update, Presented by the <br />Planning Department <br /> Scott Robinson, City Planning Dept. <br /> The City is updating the Comprehensive Plan. The visioning portion of the <br />project is completed, and a Vision Statement & Core Community Values list has <br />been created. Data collection and analysis has been completed, and plan <br />development has begun. <br /> The Comprehensive Plan does not create zoning, but instead sets the policies for <br />long-term development. <br /> One proposed future use is to create a new urban center at and around the <br />intersection of South Boulder Road and Co. Rd. 42. <br /> Another proposal is to realign Main Street to directly connect to <br />o <br />Centennial. <br /> Another proposal is to create an urban corridor north of Cherry and an urban <br />center at the area around US 36 and McCaslin. <br /> The plan would be to increase density around the existing businesses and <br />o <br />the RTD Park and Ride. <br /> Another proposal is to shift Centennial Valley area into a higher-density urban / <br />residential area. Housing stock would include smaller (1 or 2 bedroom) <br />apartments and patio homes. This area would flow towards and connect into the <br />Hillside neighborhood. <br /> <br />
