<br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />March 8, 2005 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />Mayor Sisk stated that he has also heard they are experiencing difficulty selling the <br />units. He expressed concern for advocating an affordable housing project offered <br />by a private developer. He recommended approaching the Louisville Housing <br />Authority to issue a press release regarding the affordable housing units available <br />at Centennial Lofts. <br /> <br />Councilmember Don Brown expressed concern over the large number of dogs-off- <br />leash throughout the City's open space. He questioned whether the City should <br />have an ordinance that is not being enforced. He compared this to the trailer/RV <br />on-street parking ordinance that is currently not being enforced. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk replied that the City also has speed limits in effect that are not followed. <br />He questioned whether the City should eliminate speed limits. <br /> <br />Councilmembers Van Pelt and Clabots agreed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Don Brown stated that he has heard the Open Space Advisory <br />Board is challenging the requirement that they establish a regular meeting date <br />and time. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk replied that he has instructed staff to send a strong message to the <br />Open Space Advisory Board that a regular meeting date is crucial to enable public <br />participation. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br />Submitted by Belinda Goebel <br />
