Louisville City Council Meeting <br />May 15, 2001 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Commission. He stated that an estimate will be provided on the cost to move a historical <br />single-family residence to the museum site. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Brown stated that he was aware that Mr. Lopez had an obligation in the City of Boulder. <br /> <br />Mayer noted that the applicant has a responsibility to be present at the meetings. <br /> <br />Keany reported on a DRCOG retreat he attended, along with 30 other participants <br />representing cities and counties. He stated there was discussion on growth legislation <br />that prompted a resolution, which will be passed at the DRCOG meeting. The resolution <br />appoints DRCOG as authority for the regional planning. He stated that priorities for the <br />year were set and traffic and growth management planning received the highest priority. <br /> <br />Sisk reported on the Senior Board Meeting and shared statistical information with <br />Council. In the month of April 1,667 seniors were either involved in classes or trips, <br />3,000 senior citizens were provided direct services through the Louisville Senior Center~ <br />and Special Transit provided 647 rides to seniors. Sisk reported that the seniors are very <br />pleased with the transportation and senior services. <br /> <br />Keany stated that he attended the Louisville Housing Authority meeting and reported a <br />$70,000 overrun on the Sunnyside housing project. He stated that a reception is planned <br />during the first week of June in the project' s community center. <br /> <br />Mayer thanked Councilman Sisk, as Council's liaison to the Senior Board, for his close <br />attention to needs of the seniors. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council adjourn (8:20 p.m.) seconded by Keany.
