City Council Joint Study Session Summary City of Louisville and City of Lafayette Councils October 15, 2012 Library Meeting Room 951 Spruce Street 5:30 PM The City Council of the City of Louisville and City Council of City of Lafayette met st in a joint study session at 5:30 p.m. in Louisville Library 1 Floor Meeting Room, 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were present - City Council Present: Mayor Robert Muckle Councilor Hank Dalton Councilor Emily Jasiak Councilor Jay Keany Councilor Susan Loo Councilor Ron Sackett Councilor Frost Yarnell Staff Present: Malcolm Fleming, City Manager Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager Troy Russ, Planning & Bldg. Safety Director Kurt Kowar, Public Works Director Kathy Martin, Recreation Superintendent Meredyth Muth, Public Relations Manager Diana Trettin, CIP Manager Welcome– Lafayette City Council and Staff Mayor Muckle welcomed the Lafayette City Council and Staff. Introductions were made. Harney Lastoka Ball fields The City Councils discussed the recent approval of the IGA related to the Harney Lastoka ball fields. Lafayette was not sure when the ball fields would be built, but would look to provide joint facilities/scheduling at the location in the future. st Lafayette staff suggested the Recreation Directors get together the 1 of the year to discuss future operations, maintenance and scheduling at the facility. Both communities felt it would be wise to have an operations agreement in place prior to the completion of the ball fields.
