Local Licensing Authority Minutes March 28, 2005 Page 4 of 7 Wilson asked the applicant to indicate on the diagram where the alcohol would be stored. The applicant stated it would be stored downstairs in the basement. Mr. Fregoso was asked to provide a diagram of the basement area with the storage area noted. Leigh Satterfield-Hamre, 2991 Thunder Lake Circle, Lafayette, CO 80026, entered her name for the record. She reported she had moved here recently and thought Casa Alegre had great food and the owners are neat people. She would like to see them succeed. She believes they are an asset to the community. Rommelfanger moved the Authority find the applicant of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all City and state law requirements have been met and based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority approve the issuance of a hotel and restaurant license for Jalisco Dos Amigos, Inc., d/b/a Casa Alegre, conditioned upon the Licensee providing a lease meeting the City's satisfaction, a diagram of the basement of the establishment and the fingerprint report comes back showing no criminal history. Wilson seconded. Roll Call Vote: Mulvahill - yes, Koertje - yes, Rommelfanger - yes and Wilson - yes. D. Public Hearing - New License Application - Maharaja, Inc. d/b/a Maharaja Cuisine of India - Hotel and Restaurant License - 1132 W. Dillon Rd. E-1 Mulvahill opened the public hearing on the new license application. Secretary Hanson stated the application was complete and included in the Authority packet. Fingerprints have come back showing no criminal history and the hearing had been posted and published in accordance with state law. Hanson mentioned the applicant did owe sales tax to the city for the purchase of assets and a check had been submitted to the City today. No objections were entered to having the boundaries of the neighborhood be the city limits of the City of Louisville. Mulvahill moved the entire application as contained in the Authority packets be made a part of the record of this hearing. Koertje seconded. All in favor. Suhena Khatun, 11750 Winona Court, Westminster, CO 80031, entered her name for the record and was given the oath. Zuned Khan, husband of the applicant, stated his wife did not speak English well and asked if he could speak on her behalf. He commented the liquor license was needed to attract patrons in the evening. Wilson asked about storage of the liquor on the diagram. Mr. Khan corrected the diagram and Mulvahill entered it as Exhibit 1 as part of the record.
