<br />Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />March 28, 2005 <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />Wilson asked the applicant to indicate on the diagram where the alcohol would <br />be stored. The applicant stated it would be stored downstairs in the basement. <br />Mr. Fregoso was asked to provide a diagram of the basement area with the <br />storage area noted. <br /> <br />Leigh Satterfield-Hamre, 2991 Thunder Lake Circle, Lafayette, CO 80026, <br />entered her name for the record. She reported she had moved here recently and <br />thought Casa Alegre had great food and the owners are neat people. She would <br />like to see them succeed. She believes they are an asset to the community. <br /> <br />Rommelfanger moved the Authority find the applicant of good moral character, <br />the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire the license be granted, the license will <br />meet the reasonable requirements of the neighborhood, all City and state law <br />requirements have been met and based on these findings, the Local Licensing <br />Authority approve the issuance of a hotel and restaurant license for Jalisco Dos <br />Amigos, Inc., d/b/a Casa Alegre, conditioned upon the Licensee providing a <br />lease meeting the City's satisfaction, a diagram of the basement of the <br />establishment and the fingerprint report comes back showing no criminal history. <br />Wilson seconded. Roll Call Vote: Mulvahill - yes, Koertje - yes, Rommelfanger <br />- yes and Wilson - yes. <br /> <br />D. Public Hearing - New License Application - Maharaja, Inc. d/b/a Maharaja <br />Cuisine of India - Hotel and Restaurant License - 1132 W. Dillon Rd. E-1 <br /> <br />Mulvahill opened the public hearing on the new license application. Secretary <br />Hanson stated the application was complete and included in the Authority packet. <br />Fingerprints have come back showing no criminal history and the hearing had <br />been posted and published in accordance with state law. Hanson mentioned the <br />applicant did owe sales tax to the city for the purchase of assets and a check had <br />been submitted to the City today. <br /> <br />No objections were entered to having the boundaries of the neighborhood be the <br />city limits of the City of Louisville. Mulvahill moved the entire application as <br />contained in the Authority packets be made a part of the record of this hearing. <br />Koertje seconded. All in favor. <br /> <br />Suhena Khatun, 11750 Winona Court, Westminster, CO 80031, entered her <br />name for the record and was given the oath. Zuned Khan, husband of the <br />applicant, stated his wife did not speak English well and asked if he could speak <br />on her behalf. He commented the liquor license was needed to attract patrons in <br />the evening. <br /> <br />Wilson asked about storage of the liquor on the diagram. Mr. Khan corrected the <br />diagram and Mulvahill entered it as Exhibit 1 as part of the record. <br />
