Wilson moved the consent <br />agenda be approved. Lipton seconded. Roll Call Vote: Paige - yes, Mulvahill- <br />yes, Koertje - yes, Lipton - yes and Wilson - yes. <br /> <br />Authority Business <br /> <br />A. Show Cause Hearing - LSL, LLC d/b/a The Melting Pot Restaurant - <br />Hotel and Restaurant License - 732 Main St. <br /> <br />Authority member Lipton recused herself from this hearing. Attorney Light <br />explained she is listed as a witness on this report and thus chose to not <br />participate in this hearing. Chairperson Paige opened the show cause hearing <br />on The Melting Pot Restaurant. Stefan Fredricksmeyer, special prosecutor for <br />the Licensing Authority introduced himself. Todd Lightner, general manager for <br />The Melting Pot and Kyle Reed, general partner for The Melting Pot Restaurants, <br />introduced themselves to the Authority. A Stipulation and Agreement was <br />presented to the Authority for their consideration. Attorney Fredricksmeyer <br />stated Mr. Lightner had been very cooperative in the negotiations and The <br />Melting Pot has not had any other violations. Fredricksmeyer asked the Authority <br />accept the Stipulation and Agreement and then consider a letter requesting a fine <br />in lieu of suspension submitted by The Melting Pot. <br /> <br />A question was asked by Authority member Koertje about the steps being taken <br />to avoid the serving of minors in the future. The representatives from the Melting <br />Pot explained the training and precautions put into place in the restaurant and <br />stated this incident was taken very seriously by all the management and <br />employees. <br /> <br />Mulvahill moved the Authority amend the Stipulation and Agreement to include in <br />paragraph 3 that the one-day suspension be served on the 1 st day of May 2005 <br />and then moved the Stipulation and Agreement be approved by the Authority as <br />an appropriate resolution to the show cause order. Wilson seconded. Roll Call <br />Vote: Paige - yes, Mulvahill - yes, Koertje -yes, Wilson - yes and <br />Rommelfanger - yes. <br />
