Local Licensing Authority
Minutes
April 25, 2005

Secretary's Report

Hanson reported the State Liquor Enforcement Division training was well
attended with 14 persons from Louisville establishments.

Authority Attorney's Report

Attorney Light commented he had looked into the question raised at the last
meeting concerning tastings held in a business establishment other than a liquor
store. He cited a position statement by the State Liquor Enforcement concerning
a "customer appreciation party" which states there is nothing prohibiting such
activity as long as orders for liquor are not taken and the liquor is provided at fair
market value.

Attorney Light then reported on the complaint filed by The Back Room in district
court. He explained the process to the Authority and suggested any questions
concerning the matter be directed to his office.

Authority Comments

Adjournment - Mulvahill moved to adjourn at 7:42 p.m. Wilson seconded. All
members were in favor.

(?~ ~nnonpaige,

Carol Hanson, Deputy City Clerk
