City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> December 18, 2012 <br /> Page 2 of 17 <br /> Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy, Louisville, CO praised the first responders in the <br /> Connecticut tragedy and the courage of the school principal, teachers and staff. He <br /> presented Council with a handout concerning a book and video presentation by Susan <br /> Crawford, an attorney studying the telecommunications industry. The book is entitled <br /> "Captive Audience" and considers the role of cable television in the industry. He asked <br /> Council to consider this viewpoint in the discussion on the renewal of the cable <br /> franchise agreement. He wished all a Happy Holiday season and Happy New Year. <br /> APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle called for changes to the consent agenda and hearing none, moved to <br /> approve the consent agenda, seconded by Council member Jasiak. Resolution No. 76, Series 2012—A Resolution Denying Historic <br /> Landmark Status to a House at 1036 Walnut Street <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle extended his condolences to the families involved in the school tragedy <br /> in Connecticut. He asked Chief Goodman what the Louisville Police Department has <br /> done locally in response to this incident. Chief Goodman stated there were no real <br /> proper words for what happened. He explained there has been a noticeable police <br /> presence at the schools and officers are doing what they can. <br /> Mayor Muckle introduced Melinda Culley, who was filling in for Sam Light as City <br /> Attorney.
