City Council Finance Committee Meeting Minutes 12/17/12 Page 2 of 3 Kevin Watson, Finance Director, presented additional information provided by Jim Manire, City Financial Advisor, on other possible refunding options available to the City for the City’s 2003 Water Revenue Bonds/CWRPDA Loan. City Manager, Malcolm Fleming suggested delaying a decision on the bond refunding until the Facilities Plan report currently being compiled by consultants is received and reviewed. It is anticipated the report will be received in the first quarter of 2013 at which time the bond refunding discussion will be brought back to the Finance Committee. The summary of additional refunding analysis can be located in the packet of the December 17, 2012 Finance Committee Meeting. NON-PROFIT FUNDING REQUESTS FOR 2013 The Committee recommended the following contributions for 2013: Association for Community Living in Boulder County $500 Boulder County Legal Services $400 Center Stage Theater Company $400 Clinica Campesina $5,000 Community Food Share $2,500 Dental Aid $1,000 Hospice Care of Boulder & Broomfield Counties $1,500 Imagine Foundation – Developmental Disabilities Center $400 Impact on Education $1,000 Meals on Wheels of East Boulder County $2,000 Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence $1,500 Saint Benedict Health & Healing – Free Medical Clinics $400 Sister Carmen Community Center $2,700 United Methodist Church – Food Bank $700 The 2013 funding recommendations of the Finance Committee will be provided to Council at a regular meeting in January 2013. SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH ENDED OCTOBER 31, 2012 The Tax Manager presented the monthly sales tax reports for the period ended October 31, 2012.
