Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 9, 2012 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />Lipton stated the enclaves should be encouraged to annex and not be discouraged <br />by the fee. <br />Russell inquired about a small area plans for South Boulder Road and the Phillips 66 <br />campus. <br />Russ stated the small area plans will most likely be a part of the Comprehensive Plan <br />update. <br />Pritchard asked for a dark sky ordinance. <br />Russ stated a dark sky ordinance and the telecom ordinance modifications will <br />probably not be a high priority in 2013. <br />Pritchard asked if there are plans to update the 2002 Historic Preservation Survey. <br />O’Connell stated she had nothing to add. <br />Tengler stated the subdivision re-plat criteria merits further discussion. He asked for <br />a clarification of telecom ordinance. <br />Lipton stated technology has changed so much since the ordinance was adopted <br />therefore it merits a review. <br />Public Comment: <br />Michael Menaker, 1827 W. Chokecherry Dr., discussed the Historic Preservation <br />survey and the effect of signage and parking at CTC. <br />Commission Comments: <br />Lipton stated the sign standards in the CDDSG and IDDSG should be reviewed. <br />Russell stated the McCaslin area should be included in a small area plan. <br />Planning Commission Comments: <br />None heard. <br />Staff Comments <br />Russ discussed the Charrette planned for the Comprehensive Plan Update.
