Louisville City Council Meeting <br />November 20, 2001 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 53, Series 2001 - Minor Subdivision Replat and <br />Amended Final PUD Development Plan, McBride Subdivision, Lots 13, <br />14 and 15, Block 4, CTC First Filing - 1797 and 1815 Boxelder Street <br />Resolution No. 54, Series 2001 -A Resolution Approving Amendments <br />to Conservation Easements Over a Portion of the Warembourg Property <br />and Approving a Related Grant Agreement with the State Board of the <br />Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Richard Olson, 801 Owl Drive, Louisville, CO, spoke to the issue of Senior Citizens' <br />needs. He stated that Louisville did not have a Senior Services Director, who supplies <br />information directly to the City Manager. He noted that in Boulder County and other <br />cities, a Senior Services Director informs the City Council. He requested that the Senior <br />Facilitator and Staff be removed from the supervision of the Recreation Department. He <br />stressed that the Louisville Senior Leader is the finest in the County and should be the <br />Director of the Department. He stated that the Director of the Recreation Department has <br />used the Senior Staff as part of the City's recreation program, failed to listen to the needs <br />of the seniors and has caused several problems. He commended Councilman Sisk for his <br />support of the Senior Board. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Sisk stressed that at the time of Thanksgiving, and given the traumatic events of this year, <br />it is important for the citizens to take a moment to appreciate family, colleagues and the <br />City in which they live. <br /> <br />Brown reported on a remembrance walk, sponsored by the Coal Creek PTO. He stated <br />that it was a community walk around Harper Lake and Coal Creek School. He thanked <br />the Coal Creek PTO committee for organizing the event. <br /> <br />Keany reported that there is a gift-giving tree in the lobby of City Hall where people can <br />take gift tags and bring back gifts for needy families. <br /> <br />Mayer reported on the dedication of the Glen Huey Recycling Center. He stated that the <br />Mayor and he attended the ceremony along with members of the Parks staff. He noted <br />that the Huey family was very touched by the honor bestowed. He stressed that the City <br />has been touched in so many ways by the contributions made by Glen Huey. He stated <br />that it is a legacy to Glen Huey's contribution to the community. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
