The board expressed strong interest in the Jack Nicklaus “Plan to Snag the <br />Kids” and Staff undertook to investigate this with the Recreation Department. <br />g. Councilman Keany undertook to resuscitate the Board’s request for signs to <br />th <br />the golf course at the intersections of Dillon Road with McCaslin and 96 <br />Street. The potential for an electronic banner sign at the clubhouse was <br />discounted due to City policy. <br />h. UC Colorado will be sponsoring a PAC 12 Cross-country Championship on <br />the golf course property on November 3. This will require the course to be <br />closed for 2 - 3 days but will bring significant publicity to the City and to the <br />Golf Course. The Board was assured that adequate plans are in place for <br />indemnity and clean-up. <br />Item X. WGP update.Accounts for 2012 are not yet finalized but will be <br />presented at the February Board Meeting. The Draft 2013 Budget was <br />discussed and described as conservative. No increase in any fees are proposed, <br />a new fleet of 75 golf carts will be leased (65 golf carts, 10 service carts. Cart <br />lease costs will be significantly higher. No decision has been made yet on the <br />Maintenance equipment. A full-time mechanic will be hired in spring and his <br />input will be part of the retain/replace decision. The 2013 Agronomy Plan will be <br />presented at the February Board Meeting. The improvement in Food and <br />Beverage quality was noted and the 2013 budget anticipates an increase in FB <br />revenue. WGP Staff are working on plans for the 2013 Youth Program. WGP <br />will work with Lisa Norgard to set up the 2013 “Divots and Dining” schedule. <br />Item XI.The next meeting is February 11 at 6:30PM.
