Starting to train as a staff <br />on how to handle situation. Example single head of household (very common) and perpetrator <br />comes to home. The result is housing and children at risk as well as other tenants. Many have <br />come from an abusive relationship. Legal issues when situation arises and how we can <br />intervene. <br /> <br />Sheri: Do we have a Louisville police contact? <br />Frank asks board to provide any suggestions for Louisville PD contacts for BCHA. <br />Jay: Would like to get restitution for domestic violence issues. <br />Lisa: We must charge the tenant and the tenant must get restitution. <br />Scott: What happens with children are involved? <br />Frank: We just began training on 10/29 and there are still a lot of questions that need to be <br />answered. Meeting again with Domestic Abuse Prevention Project to get answers. Frank will be <br />working with DAPP to develop an effective intervention strategy for the entire agency.
