City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />January 15, 2013 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />She added that once the negotiations begin, staff willask for a Council member <br />to be appointed to work with staff on the franchisenegotiations. At that same <br />time staff will create a plan for public involvement which is likely to include public <br />meetings and outreach. <br />Council member Dalton noted that he thinks that the new franchise should not <br />include any provisions for the City to be involved in customer service as he feels <br />that is between the cable provider and the customer and the City should not be <br />involved. <br />Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Drive, asked for significant public input in both the <br />process and the franchise agreement and suggested a Technology Board could <br />help. <br />City Manager’s Report <br />The advanced agenda was distributed to members. <br />Discussion Items for Next Study Session on January 29and Identification <br />of Future Agenda Items <br />None. <br />Adjourn - The meeting adjourned at 9:30 PM <br />Submitted by Meredyth Muth <br />January 22, 2013 <br />
