He estimated the cost estimate of <br />the signage, without the framing, to be $2,650. Simmons asked for Council authorization <br />to expend up to $5,000 for the requested signage. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayer moved that Council authorize an expenditure up to $5,000 for the <br />requested signage, seconded by Keany. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by <br />a vote of 5-0. Davidson and Brown excused. <br /> <br />Sisk asked that the City copyright the Louisville Historic Downtown Miner Sign and the <br />Main Street Slogan sign. <br /> <br />Eric Hartronft, Architect, 801 Main Street, Louisville, stated his belief that the graphics <br />artist who designed the sign was paid by the City. He did not believe that the design has <br />been registered and would discuss the matter with the artist. <br /> <br />Simmons informed Council that the needs assessment report for the Senior Center and <br />Library is due back on January 22na. He stressed that the space allocation, financing <br />issues and capacity of bonding options are different from those of the new police station. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Sisk reported that the organizational meeting scheduled for Monday, January 7, 2002, <br />would be delayed to 8:00 p.m. He explained that Judge Joss anticipates that arraignments <br />will run beyond 7:00 p.m. He also reported that immediately following the <br />organizational meeting; Council will go into executive session to discuss the Koebel <br />lawsuit. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Howard ~oved:.th~[ Council adjourn (7:34 p.m.), seconded by Mayer.
