Louisville City Council Meeting <br />January 7, 2002 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Downtown Business Association - Brown/Alternate Keany <br />Louisville Housing Authority - Keany <br />RTD Representative - Mayer <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION... Consultation with attorneys representing the City with <br />respect to pending litigation. Pending litigation shall include cases wherein a lawsuit is <br />actually commenced, and any. situation where the person requesting the executive session <br />believes in good faith that a lawsuit may result. The council may discuss settlement <br />strategies in an executive session. <br /> <br />City Attomey Sam Light requested the City Council convene an executive session for the <br />purpose of consultation with respect to pending litigation (Centennial Valley Properties <br />IV, Inc., v. City of Louisville, Case 301 CV 580, Div. 3, Boulder County District Court). <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council convene an executive session and requested <br />that Finance Director Dianne Ray be included in the session, seconded by Sisk. <br /> <br />City Clerk Nancy Varra read Section 2.90.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code, which <br />stipulates the topics that may be discussed in an executive session. <br /> <br />VOTE: All in favor. <br /> <br />Davidson recessed for a reception in honor of the new City Council members and City <br />Officials, at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />The Council went into executive session at 8:32 p.m. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUED <br /> <br />The January 7, 2002 Council meeting reconvened at 9:32 p.m. <br /> <br />Council member Keany did not return to the meeting after executive session. <br /> <br />Report by City Attorney from Executive Session - Light reported that the purpose of <br />the executive session was to discuss pending litigation, Centennial Valley Properties IV, <br />Inc., v. City of Louisville, Case g01 CV 580, Div. 3, Boulder County District Court. He <br />stated that potential litigation strategies were discussed and Council gave direction to the <br />City Attorney. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
