City Council <br />Business Retention & <br />Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 4, 2013 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />st <br />CALL TO ORDER – <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 AM in the 1 Floor Meeting room at the <br />Louisville Library, 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. <br />ROLL CALL – <br />The following members were present: <br />Committee Members: Ron Sackett, City Council (Chair); Rob Lathrop, Revitalization Commission(Vice- <br />Chair); Hank Dalton, City Council; Dana Alford, Centennial Valley Assoc; Michael Menaker, Alternate <br />Revitalization Commission; Emily Jasiak, City Council; Chris Pritchard, Planning Commission; Shelley <br />Angell, Chamber of Commerce; <br />Staff Present: Aaron DeJong, Economic Development Manager, Malcolm Fleming, City Manager; <br />Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager; and Michele Kelley, Temporary Secretary to City Manager. <br />Others Present: Mike Kranzdorf, Jeff Suffolk, Chuck Sisk, Rick Brew and Todd Stevenson <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA – <br />Agenda approved as presented. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES – <br /> The minutes of the February 4, 2013 meeting were approved as <br />presented. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA: <br />None. <br />PRESENTATION BY RTD DIRECTOR CHUCK SISK: <br />Chuck Sisk, recently appointed RTD Director for District O representing the Louisville area, addressed <br />the attendees. He mentioned the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project will be completed by the end of 2015. <br />A Northwest Area Mobility Study (NAMS) 13 month professional services contract was approved by <br />the RTD Board in February. The study will determine how the remaining FasTracks US 36 BRT <br />commitment will be allocated to the corridor and determine what remaining BRT elements are needed; <br />evaluate the feasibility and determine the cost associated with constructing the Northwest Rail Line in <br />segments; evaluate the possibility forextending the North Metro Rail Line to Longmont; and conduct a <br />high-level feasibility analysis of the reverse commute issues on the I-25 downtown Express lanes.
