Staff Updates <br />Avista Land Sale – Information is available on pages 18-24 of the March <br />Board Packet on the sale of a portion (Parcel 8) of the Avista property. <br />The City will sell 20,820 square feet of land for $14,575 to the Colorado <br />Department of Transportation (CDOT) for the US36 Managed Lane/Bus <br />Rapid Transit project. This land contains an easement from 1951 in favor <br />of CDOT using the land for highway purposes. <br />Scriffiny - Boulder County Parks & Open Space has agreed to sell 2.365 <br />acres of this land to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) <br />for the US36 Managed Lane/Bus Rapid Transit project. Louisville has a <br />Conservation Easement and financial interest in this land. Louisville will <br />release the Conservation Easement for the sale of this portion of land <br />and will receive $23,080.50. <br /> The Board would appreciate information and the opportunity to <br />o <br />provide comments in the future before similar actions, with the <br />interest of transparency and open government. <br />Damyonavich and Davidson Mesa Open Space’s may be impacted as <br />the US36 Managed Lane/Bus Rapid Transit project advances. <br />OSAB members were presented the Conservation Trust – Open Space <br />and Parks Funds: Revenue, Expenditures, and Changes to Fund <br />Balance from 2007-2013 spread sheet. <br /> Tom commented on the change in the OSAB budget line over time. <br />o <br />Ember explained that the OSAB budget was originally $1,000 and <br />is now $500. In 2008-2011 some OSAB expenditures funded <br />education programs. In 2011 a line item was added to specifically <br />represent education expenditures. <br /> The Board discussed an increasing trend of shifting money to <br />o <br />operations/management expenses, big capital parks, and open <br />space projects (building and underpass). The Board expressed <br />concern about the balance for open space acquisition and <br />replenishing the fund in the event of possible property acquisition <br />and increasing property costs. <br /> The Board agreed to review the Conservation Trust budget tables <br />o <br />before the April meeting and forward questions to Ember. <br />Spencer asked about the $1.6M for the City Services Facility. The <br />Board requested updates as the plan for City Services Facility are <br />finalized. <br />The City of Lafayette is interested in initiating the construction of a trail <br />th <br />from Hwy 42 to Cherry Street. The trail would run parallel to 104 Street <br />on the western property line of Mayhoffer Section 15 Open Space. <br />3 <br />
