Louisville City Council Meeting <br />November 4, 2003 <br />Page 2 of 10 <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 38, Series 2003 - A Resolution Approving Licenses <br />Between City of Louisville and the Burlington Northern Sante Fe for <br />Construction of the State Highway 42/96ti' Street Connection and Reuse <br />Water Pipeline <br />Resolution No. 39, Series 2003 -A Resolution Approving A Minor <br />Subdivision Replat for Dutch Creek Replat #2, A Replat of Lot 1, Block <br />6, Dutch Creek Replat <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson congratulated Mayor Pro Tem Charles Sisk for his for election to Mayor <br />and Council member Sheri Marsella for her election to City Council for Ward II. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />RECOGNITION - DANIEL PEER & TURE NYCUM - LOUISVILLE SPORTS <br /> COMPLEX RECIPIENT OF "FACILITY OF THE YEAR AWARD" <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Land Management Director Cindy Lair reported that Louisville's Sports Complex was <br />the first recipient of Triple Crown Baseball's "Facility of the Year" award primarily due <br />to the efforts of two staff members, Daniel Peer and Ture Nycum. The award was given <br />at the first annual Colorado Baseball Awards Banquet on November 1, with an estimated <br />650 peoPle in attendance. She explained every year, Triple Crown Baseball hosts 17 <br />tournaments in Colorado comprising of the top 2 percent of the Colorado kids from the <br />ages of 9 to 18. Each tournament weekend hosts 90 teams, which requires a tremendous <br />amount of organization by both the facilitators and the Sports Complex and Recreation <br />Center staff. She stated Triple Crown Baseball uses 45 different facilities in the state, <br />and Mr. Anderson and his staff were very pleased with the customer-oriented, people- <br />friendly staff of the Louisville Sports Complex. Lair introduced Thad Anderson. <br /> <br />Thad Anderson, Triple Crown Baseball, reviewed the process for the selection of the <br />Facility of the Year award. He commended the Land Management and Louisville <br />Recreation Departments staff members for making the facility the best it can be for the <br />organization and Louisville's citizens.
