Louisville City Council Meeting <br />February 5, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayer reported on the RTD Dash Advisory Board meeting held on January 22, 2002. He <br />stated that the Board decided to recommend upgrade services on all runs through <br />Louisville at peak hours. Previously they had proposed upgrades to half of the runs <br />during peak hours. He explained that would have bypassed three miles of Louisville. <br />Mayer voiced his appreciation of Staff for their work on the project. He stated that it <br />would be a great addition of service to Louisville. <br /> <br />Davidson thanked Councilman Mayer for representing the City at the RTD Dash <br />meeting. Davidson explained that Dash is an RTD bus. <br /> <br />Sisk reported that February 14th, 2002, Valentine's Day, the Blue Parrot would sponsor a <br />spaghetti dinner at the Louisville Senior Center. He stated that the proceeds will go to <br />the Senior Foundation and stressed that it is a very worthwhile cause. <br /> <br />Sisk thanked Council members Van Pelt, and Brown and Mayor Davidson for sitting in <br />on the interviews for the needs assessment architect for the Library and Recreation/Senior <br />Center. Sisk thanked Councilman Keany for the also serving on the interview committee. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS WEEK <br /> <br />Davidson read the Proclamation proclaiming the Week of February 11 - 15, 2002 as <br />National Random Acts of Kindness Week. <br /> <br />Lisa Kihn, Coal Creek Elementary School parent and student leaders from Coal Creek <br />Elementary accepted the proclamation. <br /> <br />Two Coal Creek Elementary students thanked the Council for presenting Coal Creek <br />Elementary School the proclamation. Both stated that they felt it was a great honor for <br />their school. <br /> <br />Levihn thanked and recognized Coal Creek Elementary School Principal Ellen Goering. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION - RECOGNITION OF OUTGOING PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
