What
do you use the trails for (types of activities)? How many “votes” did
each recommendation get?
o Gather information at the Farmer’s Market or the Thursday evening
concerts at Community Park.
o Contacting other neighboring Open Space Boards to see if they have
any recommendations.
o Include on the trail recommendation form the opportunity to write
whatever comments the commenter may have about Open Space.
Alan is discussing beginning the Open House / information gathering process
in the fall.
o July, August, and September would be a good time frame for collecting
data to be plugged in to the CIP process.

IX. Volunteering efforts would also be
important
Develop best management practices and review what other
cities are doing in their property management documents
o Wildfire mitigation, prescribed burns as a specific tool
o Education – convey the importance of the education piece of
management, include specific recommendations for each property
o Wildlife management –coyote management
o Vegetation monitoring
o Volunteering
o Open Space zoning

X.
