He expressed appreciation for the changes in the <br />language relative to community events. He addressed concern for the level of service <br />of roadways. <br />Council member Jasiak noted acceptance of a lower level of service grade on roadways <br />could indicate keeping the small town feel rather than just a bad letter grade. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Sid Vinall, 544 Leader Circle, Louisville, CO presented comment cards from citizens. He <br />noted the Citizen's Action Council (CAC) has focused on ideas for reinvesting and <br />revitalizing real areas, such as the Big Lots building conversion to an ARC thrift store. <br />CAC believes the City should examine what would bring in positive economic <br />development. He voiced his appreciation for the public participation and Council's <br />consideration. He ended by quoting Peter Drucker. <br />Mike Frontzak, 643 Fairfield Lane, Louisville, CO stated there has been a lot of negative <br />comments relative to the Comprehensive Plan however he felt the Plan opens up doors <br />to attract developers to Louisville. <br />Susan Honstein, 727 Pine Street, Louisville, CO acknowledged the Mayor, City Council <br />and staff for their efforts and responsiveness to include a Citywide Master Plan for Arts <br />and Culture in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Willa Williford, Deputy Director for Boulder County Housing Authority, 2525 13th Street, <br />Boulder, CO voiced her support for the Comprehensive Plan. She explained last <br />summer the City entered into an agreement with the Boulder County Housing Authority <br />and one of the commitments was to provide affordable housing in Louisville. In March, <br />the Boulder County Housing Authority. purchased 13 acres in Louisville for affordable <br />housing. She looked forward to the discussion of developments in the small area plans. <br />Michael Menaker, 1827 Choke Cherry Drive, Louisville, CO urged Council to approve <br />the Plan and go forward with the small area plans. He addressed the area west of <br />McCaslin and the lack of discussion for renovating the western portion of the Safeway <br />Shopping Center. He was disturbed by the public perception of high density housing <br />and stated he welcomes new residents. He encouraged embracing the future. <br />Joel Hayes, 187 Harper Street, Louisville, CO voiced his appreciation for the revisions <br />made to the Comprehensive Plan. He did not support swapping retail business for <br />multi - family housing. He asked Council to consider revenue generating businesses. <br />John Leary, 1116 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO did not believe the public has been <br />heard. He stated the Comprehensive Plan attempts to alter the revenue structure the <br />City currently has in a negative way. He stated retail pays for itself, but residential does <br />
