City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 21, 2013 <br />Page 2 of 19 <br />Randy Caranci, 441 Elk Trail, Lafayette, CO offered to buy the grain elevator from the <br />City. He would landmark and stabilize the building as an artifact, with the goal of <br />making it a fully functional building, depending on the costs. He would incorporate the <br />grain elevator into his property and create a nice development. The grain elevator would <br />be landmarked and preserved for future generations; all encroachments and land swap <br />situations would be resolved and the taxpayers would save 2.5 million dollars. The City <br />would not have to deal with architects, engineers or developers, nor would City staff <br />have to devote any more time or energy on this project and the City would not have any <br />ongoing maintenance issues. He would present an offer to the City on or before June <br />10, 2013. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Muckle called for changes to the consent agenda. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dalton requested Consent Agenda Item 5E — Resolution No. 26, Series <br />2013 - Approving an IGA with the City of Lafayette for a Lift Station Emergency <br />Overflow Connection, be removed from the Consent Agenda and discussed under <br />Regular Business. <br />Mayor Muckle placed Consent Agenda 5E as the first item on the Regular Business <br />Agenda. He called for other changes and hearing none, moved to approve the consent <br />agenda as amended. Mayor Pro Tem Dalton seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br />A. Approval of Bills <br />B.
