Discussion: Draft Timeline and Questionnaire for Public Process for New <br /> Trails Planning <br /> Proposed modifications to the form: (Please see the Meeting Packet for the <br />original form.) <br />o Make sure that the form isn’t limited to the open house format, but that <br />instead, the form can simply be dropped off. (Revise question 6) <br />o (3) gravel (instead of crusher fines), concrete (not cement) <br />o Remove ADA question <br />o (5) How would you use this proposed trail? Break out the type of use <br />(mountain bike, casual walk, runner, wildlife viewing, etc.) Use check <br />boxes and allow people to select multiple options. <br />o Demographic information: What Open Space properties do you use? <br />How do you use it? How often do you use it? <br /> Use this form as an opportunity to gather additional information. <br /> <br /> Timeline: <br />o Goal is to get this in the next budget cycle. <br />o Aim for July and August to do survey. <br /> <br /> Additional ideas on how to bring attention to the project: <br />o Make a PDF of the survey and post on Facebook and send out to the <br />Open Space listserve email list. <br />o Piggy back on other educational events. <br />o Take this to other Boards and commissions. <br />o Survey Kit – copies of the survey, sign, large map <br /> <br />IX. Discussion: Touch-A-Truck Event Preparation <br /> The event will take place on June 1st from 9:00 am to 11:30am at the <br />Louisville Recreation Center. Last year, OSAB had made posters displaying <br />information on our Open Space tax dollars. Our experience from last year <br />was that the parents were busy with their kids and didn’t have the opportunity <br />to read the posters. <br /> OSAB has decided not to attend Touch-A-Truck this year. <br /> <br />X. Discussion: Process for Prioritizing Open Space Properties for Boulder <br /> County Submittals <br /> Process for prioritizing. A ranking rubric has been developed. <br />o Prioritizing is based on the potential for use by the City as Open <br />Space. <br />o Scale: 0 – feature is not present; 2 – feature is fully present <br />4
