Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 20, 2013 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br /> <br />Mo Vaugny, neighbor, stated they had offered to purchase this property. He asked the <br />HPC if they would know if there were any previous demo requests. <br />Robinson stated he did not know of any previous requests. <br />Vaughny stated the house is unique and should not be demolished. <br />La Grave made a motion to nominate this structure as a landmark. <br />Stewart asked Koertje to review the nomination procedures established in 15.36 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code. <br />Koertje reviewed the process requirements. <br />Koertje seconded the motion to nominate the structure. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the motion. <br />Motion passed 5-0. <br />Stewart asked for a volunteer to sign a letter of nomination. <br />La Grave recommended the chairperson. <br />Stewart recommended the vice-chair. <br />Stewart then requested a motion for the demolition request. <br />Koertje made a motion to place a stay of 180 days on this application and to offer <br />design assistance. <br />La Grave seconded the motion. <br />Motion passed 5 – 0. <br />Stewart asked for a volunteer for the design assistance. <br />La Grave recommended Stewart should offer design assistance. <br />The HPC agreed. <br />Koertje reminded the HPC a nomination application will need to be filled out. <br />The HPC volunteered Koertje to do so. <br />Discussion – Grain Elevator
