Louisville City Council Meeting <br />March 5, 2002 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons stated that he had spoken to the City Managers in both <br />Superior and Boulder relative to this matter, and they have stated they have no questions <br />or issues with the proposed amendment. <br /> <br />Davidson asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak on Resolution No. 6, Series <br />2002. <br /> <br />With regard to the amendment to the US 36 IGA, Mayer voiced his preference for fee- <br />interest or fee-dedication of land for open space. <br /> <br />Davidson concurred and stated that the intent should be made clear and suggested that a <br />license be granted to Avista Hospital. <br /> <br />City Attomey Light commented that at the second reading, there will be an annexation <br />agreement for Council consideration, and some language could be added to address fee- <br />dedication. <br /> <br />Davidson asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak on Resolution No. 6, Series <br />2002. Hearing none Davidson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Keany moved that Council approve Resolution No. 6, Series 2002, seconded <br />by Mayer. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 5-0. Sisk and Brown <br />excused. <br /> <br />Councilman Sisk retumed to the meeting at 7:57 p.m. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported on the items of discussion for future Council <br />meetings and work sessions. He stated that the needs assessments presentation for the <br />Library and Recreation is scheduled for the May 7, 2002 regular Council meeting. Items <br />scheduled for the March 12, 2002 work session include the Open Space Classification <br />Recommendation and the Library Recreation/Senior Center needs assessment, financing <br />options and election calendar. <br /> <br />Simmons reported that on Wednesday, March 6, there will be a public meeting at the <br />Library to receive input on the Library needs assessment. <br /> <br />Simmons addressed a letter from the Town Manager of Superior that suggested combing <br />planning efforts for the Recreation Center in Louisville. Simmons asked for Council <br />direction. <br /> <br /> <br />
