Discussion: Trails Planning
 OSAB has been looking at gathering input from local residents on their trail
recommendations within the City.
 In previous years, this topic was covered in open meetings, at the Louisville
Recreation Center, and at Open Space Meetings.
 OSAB discussed providing information to the public on the Open Space Mission,
budget, ADA requirements, trails development process, and impacts as part of the
solicitation process. They believe this is important information to share with the
public when considering new trail developments.
 Open Space will propose a meeting schedule for formalizing information in the fall.
 OSAB requested that the Trails Recommendations Form be posted on the City’s
website and also provide a link to the Form from our Facebook (Fans of Louisville
Open Space).
 OSAB also plans on attending other City Boards meetings in July or August to
gather their input on their trail recommendations. Everyone from the Board
volunteered to help with the Trails Planning process.

5
