City Council <br /> Study Session Summary <br /> May 14, 2013 <br /> Library Meeting Room, 951 Spruce Street <br /> 7:00 PM <br /> The City Council met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in the 1st Floor Meeting <br /> Room at the Louisville Public Library at 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. <br /> The following persons were present: <br /> City Council Present: Mayor Bob Muckle <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Hank Dalton <br /> Councilmember Emily Jasiak <br /> Councilmember Susan Loo <br /> Councilmember Ron Sackett <br /> Councilmember Frost Yamell <br /> Staff Present: Malcolm Fleming, City Manager <br /> Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br /> Aaron DeJong, Economic Development Director <br /> Troy Russ, Planning Director <br /> Dawn Burgess, Executive Assistant to the City Manager <br /> Others Present: Peter Hurst, Boulder Valley School <br /> Call to Order—The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Mayor Muckle <br /> Update/Discussion — Municipal Code regulations regarding Food Trucks <br /> Troy Russ stated that Planning interprets Food Trucks as Outdoor Sales. <br /> Louisville Municipal Code does not define Food Trucks. There is no consistency <br /> in the code. Planning is currently reviewing applications on a case by case basis. <br /> Planning needs guidance and criteria established for items such as: <br /> • Hours of operation <br /> • Proximity/spatial issues <br /> • Character compatibility <br /> There was discussion of Ice Cream trucks and the general consensus was that <br /> Ice Cream trucks pose no issues; there have been no complaints about them, <br /> they add to the character of the community.
