Louisville City Council Meeting <br />April 16, 2002 <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Simmons reported that there will be a Public Open House to receive comments on a draft <br />master plan for the Highway 42 Revitalization area. The Open House will be held at the <br />Louisville Public Library, on Wednesday, May 8, 2002, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Simmons reported that the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce have been <br />invited to attend a business meeting of the Directors of the Downtown Business <br />Association, on Thursday, to discuss the Highway 42 revitalization project. The meeting <br />will be held at the Old Louisville Inn on April 18, 2002 at 8:30 a.m. <br /> <br />Simmons announced that there will be a public meeting on the Highway 42/96th Street <br />Connection Project. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers on <br />Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Simmons reported on the Agenda Items for discussion for the Monday, April 22, 2002 <br />Work Session to be held in the City Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m. <br /> · Review Progress of the needs assessment for the Library and Recreation/Senior <br /> Center. <br /> · Review new City codes relating to fences, weeds and parking of vehicles. <br /> <br />Simmons asked for Council direction on the Balfour Retirement Community request to <br />review the fee schedule. He stated that all the supporting information is now available for <br />Council review. He asked Council's preference for their review at a work session or <br />review through an ordinance. <br /> <br />Davidson voiced his preference to review the information at a work session. <br /> <br />Sisk concurred with Mayor Davidson and voiced his concern for consistency with other <br />developments. <br /> <br />Simmons suggested adding the Balfour request to the April 22, 2002 Work Session. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Sisk reported on a meeting on the Senior Board that he and Council members Brown and <br />Mayer attended. He stated that Boulder County Representative Rosemary Williams <br />reviewed the five-year plan for Louisville Seniors. He noted that there was a question on <br />the status of Historical Preservation Commission, which was established in the Home <br />Rule Charter. He requested that Council create that Commission to be compliant with the <br />Charter. <br /> <br /> <br />
