Louisville City Council Meeting
April 16, 2002
Page 7

Sisk reported that he is in the process of remodeling his home and has temporarily moved
to another home outside his ward. He noted that, prior to moving he conferred with the
City Attorney. It was the City Attorney's opinion that the intent and declared domicile is
in Ward I, therefore, temporarily moving out of his ward would not create a problem.

City Attorney Light confirmed that domicile refers to intent and a domicile is where one
declares his residence.

Davidson suggested that Council appoint member to the Historical Preservation
Commission.

Sisk stated that Council must enact an ordinance to create Historical Preservation
Commission.

Brown agreed that Council should move forward with a recommendation to create a
Historical Preservation Commission.

Simmons reported that he had asked the Public Works Director to distribute copies of the
Community Recycling and Waste Reduction survey to Council. He explained that
Louisville residents will be receive a copy of the survey.

Assistant to the City Manager Balser reported that the April 22, 2002 work session
agenda will also include the ward redistricting. She noted that Mayor Pro-Tern Sisk and
Boulder Valley Schools Superintendent Dr. Garcia discussed a joint meeting between the
City Council and the School Board. She announced that a meeting date has been
selected, Monday, May 20, 2002 at 6:00 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT

ouncil adjourn (7:40 p.m.), seconded by Brown.
