The goal is long <br />range and each application is taken on a case-by-case basis. He suggested a <br />specific amount be allocated in the budget for business assistance. He noted if <br />every business was offered assistance, the City could not fund the program. <br />Council member Muckle askE;d i1f general fund money would then be used to <br />rebate the fees. Fleming respponded yes. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown asked) how many employees would be employed. Ms. <br />Hogan responded between 78 to125 people. She explained the company <br />currently occupies three builclings at CTC, and proposes to consolidate all in the <br />new space. <br />There was Council support for the Business Assistance Package and <br />authorization for Staff to continue negotiations. <br />RESOLUTION No. 47, SERIES 2007 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />BUSINESS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT WITH EAT DRINK, LLC FOR THE <br />OCCUPANCY OF EXISTINIG SPACE AT 816 SOUTH MAIN STREET IN THE <br />DOWNTOWN ,AREA OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />Becky Hogan, EDge Consulting, 52 Steele Street, Denver, CO presented the <br />business assistance package; (BAP) for Eat Drink, LLC, owners of a new <br />restaurant Table 816. This is a startup business desiring to establish an <br />American bistro restaurant at the existing space at 816 Main Street. It is <br />anticipated Table 816 will generate over $51,985 of new revenue to the City in <br />the first three years. Staff recommended approval of the BAP, not to exceed <br />three years from the certificate of occupancy, or $18,480 which ever comes first. <br />Brendan McManus, Eat Drinlc, LLC, 908 Rex Street, Louisville, CO reported <br />being in the restaurant business for over 20 years. He voiced his desire to open <br />a new restaurant concept and is currently negotiating a lease with the current <br />owners of the space, to creal:e a new American restaurant, which would seat 95 <br />people and a bar and lounge area that would seat 15. It would employ <br />approximately 35 people at move in and up to 50 full and part time in five years. <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br />Council member Muckle inquired about the historic sign at that location. <br />McManus stated the name on the sign would change, but the sign itself will not. <br />
