City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 18, 2007 <br />Page 7 of 7 <br />AUGUST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />Becky Iā¢logan, EDge Consulting <br />Becky Hogan, EDge Consulting, 56 Steele Street, Denver, CO updated Council <br />on the economic development ini the month of August: <br />She introduced the new City IVlanager to the business community; Council <br />passed three Business Assistance Packages, and retention visits were made to <br />local businesses. She announced since January of 2007, the City has given <br />$135,000 in assistance packages and with those packages, there is a potential <br />for the City to receive $402,000 i'n revenue. She expressed the business <br />community's appreciation to the Planning/Building Divisions for assisting <br />businesses. She reported on the Shop Louisville Campaign and stated a <br />presentation will be made to the City Council in October. Mayor Sisk suggested <br />the presentation be made at the October 16 meeting at Monarch High School. <br />City Manager Fleming reported on a retention visit where the business owner <br />voiced his satisfaction with locating his business in Louisville. At another <br />retention visit, the Eldorado V~Jater Bottling Facility at CTC, reported they may be <br />looking for another location, wrhere a water source is available. The City Manager <br />has discussed this issue with they Public Works Director. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No items to report. <br />COUNCIL COMIMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />None. <br />ADJOURN <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Brown moved for adjour ment, seconded by Council <br />member Clabots.
