The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. <br />Absent: Mayor Sisk. <br />DAMYANOVICH HOMESTEAD PARCEL SALE <br />ORDINANCE No. 1526, SERIES 2007 - AN ORDINACE AUTHORIZING THE <br />SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF A 1.22 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND OWNED BY <br />THE CITY AND KNOWN A;S THE DAMYANOVICH HOMESTEAD PARCEL - <br />1St (Reading -Public Hearing <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown requested a City Attorney introduction <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1526, Series 2007 and Resolution No. <br />59, Series 2007. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown openE;d the public hearing and requested a Staff <br />presentation. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Robson reported the City is the owner of a 1.2- <br />acre parcel of real property Ic-cated at 7507 Dyer Road and commonly referred to <br />as the Damyanovich Homestead Parcel. The property contains an existing <br />house, barn and accessory buildings that are not being used for municipal or <br />governmental purposes. ThE: property was acquired solely as excess property <br />and a general asset to be sold in order to help defray the cost of the City's <br />acquisition of open space located adjacent to the property. <br />Resolution No. 59, Series 2007 proposes a purchase contract to sell the property <br />for $490,000. The property ~rvill continue to be listed until the closing date, which <br />is December 7, 2007. The sale of the homestead parcel and the $200,000 <br />conservation easement payment from Boulder County, will off-set the City's initial <br />cost for the Damyanovich Open Space Property. Based on the original <br />$1,017,500 purchase price, the net cost to the City will be $327,500. Ordinance <br />No. 1526 authorizes the sale of the 1.22 parcel. <br />Council member Muckle asked for the property's appraisal price. Parks and <br />Recreation Director Robson stated the home parcel was appraised at $525,000. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown requested public comment and hearing none, closed the <br />public hearing. <br />MOTION: Council member Sackett moved to approve Ordinance No. 1526, <br />Series 2007 on first reading, sent it out for publication and set a public hearing for <br />November 5, 2007. Council member Muckle seconded the motion. Roll call vote <br />was takekn. The motion carried by a vote of 6-0. Absent: Mayor Sisk. <br />
