City Council
Special Meeting Minutes
October 30, 2007
After looking at traffic, two-lanes in each direction are high priority. The cost will
be a consideration.
COUNCIL COMMENT
Mayor Sisk asked if the road ~NOrk would be torn up when FasTracks comes
through. He asked if there was any reason why this project could not be put on
hold. Civil Engineer Thompson reported meeting with the railroad relative to
reusing materials when the crossing is reconfigured by FasTracks. The railroad
confirmed those materials could be reused.
Mayor Sisk stated if the City waited for FasTracks to improve the railroad
crossing, FasTracks would pay for the work. If the City proceeds, it must pay for
the railroad crossing. He suggested meeting with RTD and asking them to pay
the City back for advancing the project.
Council member Muckle asked where the drainage crosses in the open space
area. Thompson stated it would drain to the east, through a drainage easement
in the Boulder County open space.
CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT
No items to report.
COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS
None.
ADJOURN
MOTION: Council member Sackett moved for adjournment, seconded by
Cn~oc~l_ member Clabots.
