City Council <br />Special Meeting Minutes <br />October 30, 2007 <br />Page 8 of 12 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown requested contacting other municipalities to inquire how <br />they budget and track business assistance. Ms. Hogan estimated many <br />communities use the same procedures for budgeting purposes. <br />Mayor Sisk requested public comment and hearing none, closed the public <br />hearing. <br />City Attorney Light reminded Council at the November 5, City Council meeting, <br />the Staff will bring forward resolutions for Council's approval of the 2008 Budget; <br />a resolution to adopt the budget and a resolution to set the mill levy. <br />UPDATE/DISCUSSION/IDIRECTION - 2008 DILLON ROAD PROJECT <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />Public Works Director Phare reported a few months ago, the City retained SEH <br />Engineering to design work on Dillon Road from 96th Street to 104th Street. The <br />Dillon Road Project proposes to construct roadway and drainage improvements <br />on Dillon Road from 96th Street to just east of South 104th Street. <br />The drainage improvements consist of installing storm sewer pipes in order to <br />convey the major drainage as outlined in the City's Outfall System Plan for <br />Drainageway "G". This project proposes to acquire right-of-way from Boulder <br />County Open Space and frorri private citizens along the Dillon Road Corridor. <br />The Dillon Road project will rE:quire the relocating of existing utilities and working <br />with BSNF to improve the railiroad crossing. The Dillon Road Project is estimated <br />to cost $3,629,000 with funding contributions from Urban Drainage, Boulder <br />County, utility fund-water and impact fees. <br />Civil Engineer I I David Thom~-son presented 2008 Dillon Road Project after the <br />City Manager's Performance Goal Report. <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION,IACTION -CITY MANAGER'S PERFORMANCE <br />GOALS/QUARTERLY REPORT <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />City Manager Fleming presented the 2007-2008 Proposed Goals for Council <br />approval. He noted the proposed goals are achievable with resources included <br />in the proposed 2008 Budget. He outlined the following goals and requested <br />Council direction. The list of goals included the following: <br />• Specific action steps for each goal, <br />• Key team members who would be involved, <br />• Time frame for action, .and <br />• Current status. <br />
