City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 20, 2007 <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />thanked the City employees for identifying and correcting safety issues. <br />He recognized and thanked the members of the Safety Committee. <br />The closing on the Northwest Parkway to a private operating entity, which <br />will bring $3.0 million to the City for open space one year earlier than <br />expected, per the Northwest Parkway IGA. <br />Mayor Sisk reported at the Nc-vember 19 Louisville Revitalization Commission <br />meeting, members requested a joint meeting with Council. December 10th has <br />been scheduled for a joint meeting, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will be held <br />in the Council Chambers. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor Sisk and members of tlhe City Council made the following appointments: <br />City Attorney -Sam Light. <br />Water Attorney -Firm of Tienken & Hill (Alan G. Hill) <br />City Prosecutor -Martin R. Si:aab <br />Presiding Municipal Judge - W. Bruce Joss <br />Deputy Municipal Judges -Larry Mertes and Randall Davis <br />Presiding Judge Joss thanked the Mayor and Council for their vote of confidence <br />in his reappointment. He expllained a rule of his court is all defendants have a <br />right and an opportunity to be heard. <br />Mayor Sisk congratulated Judge Joss, and Deputy Judges Mertes and Davis. <br />COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS <br />• Council Finance Committee -Mayor Sisk, Councilors Marsella and <br />Sackett <br />• Boulder County Consortium of Cities -Councilor Marsella, Alternate <br />Councilor Muckle <br />• DRCOG -Councilor Muckle, Alternate Mayor Sisk <br />• Senior Advisory Board -Councilor Clabots, Alternate Councilor Yarnell <br />• Legal Review Committee -Mayor Sisk, Councilors Sackett and Muckle <br />• Library Board of Trustees -Councilor Dalton <br />
