Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 15, 2013 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />Discussion – DELO Letter <br />Stewart stated this is the same letter sent to Planning Commission, and now the letter <br />needs to be modified for City Council. <br />Koertje stated he is in favor of the letter going forward to City Council. <br />Haley stated she thought the Planning Commission Chair was receptive to the letter. <br />Watson stated the historic structures might be able to be used as an economic driver for <br />the project. <br />The HPC approved the City Council letter by voice vote. <br />Committee Reports – <br />Outreach committee <br />Stewart gave an update on the Casa Alegre application stating it was on hold. <br />Update on Demolition Requests - 844 Spruce, 712 Lincoln, 839 McKinley, 613 <br />Grant <br />844 Spruce <br />Robinson stated the permit for 844 Spruce will expire next month. <br />Watson stated he has spoken with the applicant and they are not interested in <br />relocating the structure on another part of the property. He recommended releasing the <br />permit at this time. <br />Watson made a motion to release the stay of demolition. <br />Fasick seconded the motion. <br />The motion was voted on and failed 3-3 with Stewart, Koertje and Haley voting no. <br />There were no other updates on the remaining structures. <br />Update on Alteration Certificates – 1131 Jefferson <br />Robinson stated the alteration certificate, which was deemed minor, was released at <br />subcommittee. <br />Discussion/Comments on Planning Department Referrals <br />Updates – <br />
