City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 17, 2013 <br />Page 4 of 15 <br />City Manager Fleming will present a budget next month to address the infrastructure <br />damages. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dalton urged residents who have suffered damages to contact FEMA <br />and file a claim. The contact information for FEMA is on the City's webpage. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Ken Gambon, 607 Augusta, Louisville, CO reported on the devastating flood, which <br />overtook his home. Thursday morning he was awakened at 1:15 a.m. by the roaring <br />sound of rushing water and within 35 minutes water had entered his home. He thanked <br />City Operations Foreman Jeff LeBeck for his immediate response, Mayor Muckle, City <br />Manager Fleming, Mayor Pro Tem Dalton and Council member Keany for helping fill <br />sand bags and Parks and Recreation Director Stevens and Public Works Director <br />Kowar and their crews for moving furniture and delivering a water pump. He voiced his <br />deep appreciation to all those who provided assistance. <br />Rob Lathrop, 601 Johnson Street, Louisville, CO addressed the 96th Street Bridge and <br />suggested replacing it with a bridge wide enough to accommodate a bike and <br />pedestrian path to downtown Louisville, CTC and the ConocoPhillips property. He <br />stated the bridge was the problem and now that it's gone, the flood plain maps can be <br />revised and the many homes currently in the flood plain can be taken out and no longer <br />be subject to paying high premiums for flood insurance. He thanked Council members <br />Frost Yarnell and Ron Sackett for their eight years of service to the City. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />PROCLAMATION FOR CONSTITUTION WEEK <br />Mayor Muckle read the proclamation, which proclaimed Septembel6th through <br />September 22nd as Constitution Week in the City of Louisville. He urged citizens of <br />Louisville to celebrate the constitution and fly their flags during Constitution Week. <br />BOULDER COUNTY LEGAL SERVICES GRANT RECIPIENT PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Muckle explained the City bestows grants to non - profit organizations, which <br />provide services to Louisville residents. Council has asked the recipients of City grants <br />to present a brief overview of their program. <br />Boulder County Legal Services is a City of Louisville 2013 Grant Recipient. Erica <br />Martinez, Pro Bono Coordinator presented a brief overview of the non - profit and how <br />the organization is using the grant funds. She thanked the Mayor and Council for their <br />
