<br /> <br />City of Louisville <br />City Council 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4533 (phone) 303.335.4550 (fax) www.LouisvilleCO.gov <br /> <br />City Council <br />Business Retention & <br />Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 9, 2013 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER –The meeting was called to order at 9:16 AM in the 1st Floor Meeting room at <br />the Louisville Library, 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado <br /> <br />ROLL CALL – The following members were present: <br /> <br />Committee Members: Rob Lathrop, Revitalization Commission(Vice-Chair); Hank Dalton, City <br />Council; Michael Menaker, Alternate Revitalization Commission; Emily Jasiak, City Council; <br />Shelley Angell, Chamber of Commerce; Chris Pritchard, Ronda Grassi, <br /> <br />Staff Present: Aaron DeJong, Economic Development Manager; Malcolm Fleming, City <br />Manager; Troy Russ, Planning Director and Dawn Burgess, Executive Assistant to the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />Others Present: Debbie Fahey, Mike Kranzdorf <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Agenda approved as presented. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES – The minutes of the July, 2013 meeting were approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA: None <br /> <br />2013 STREET FAIRE RESULTS: <br /> <br />Ronda Grassi and Chris Pritchard reported on the 2013 Street Faire: <br /> <br /> Crowds were consistent and the general consensus is that each week was a great event <br /> Attendance and sales were up, vendors were happy <br /> They are at work soliciting corporate sponsors for 2014 <br /> They would really like poles to hang banners on – the banners are very helpful. Council <br />Member Jasiak mentioned that she still favors a “Welcome to Louisville banner that lets <br />you know you are in a unique place. She mentioned that we should plan ahead for <br />signage at DELO. City Manager Fleming mentioned that there is a legal back and forth <br />going on with Xcel and being able to hang banners from light posts. <br />2
